This big sheep is outstanding in its field…..sorry, can’t resist a little pun sometimes. If you love sheep, this one’s for you – make it clear to everyone when you wear this hat! Pretty simple stranded colorwork, the field of the hat is a very repetitive rhythmic knit once you’re in it, and the big sheep shows up fast. Designed to be a close-fitting beanie hat, but with notes if you want to adjust the height of the hat and make it slouchier.

Size: 20-22” circumference hat. Approximately 8” from CO edge to top/crown of hat.

Gauge:
US 4 needles: 28 st & 26 rounds = 4” in (blocked) stockinette stitch.

Materials:
• 50 g of Main Color (MC) yarn and 25g of Contrast Color (CC) sport weight yarn
• US 4 (16”) circular + whatever method you prefer for small circumference knitting (a longer cable and Magic-Loop technique or use Double-pointed needles to finish the top).
• Stitch markers: 1 to mark beginning of round and at least 5 more to mark decrease rounds at top of hat
• A tapestry needle to weave in ends.
