Close fitting fingerless mittens designed for small hands featuring a traveling cable that is mirrored on the left and right hand. The thumb gusset in reverse stockinette is contained between knit columns of the ribbing.

NOTE that this pattern is offered in ONE SIZE only.

The design looks great with a rustic tweedy yarn like Studio Donegal tweed aran but would also be pleasing in other wooly yarns of similar gauge.

These are a quick knit using a minimal amount of yarn, but offered only in one diminutive size. The pair is knit with less than a full 50 g skein of aran weight yarn.

Instructions are given using magic loop for small circumference knitting in the round. This allows the palm and back of hand stitches to be separated on lengths of cable needle, making it easy to keep your place, and avoiding the need of marking BOR. The cables are simple enough to work without a cable needle.

This pattern has not been tested by others; let me know if something is not quite right.

ERRATA -- The position of the Left thumb gusset is the last 2 sts of the round. The pattern has been updated 23-SEP-2023. Please make sure you have downloaded version 1.2
