This casual and sporty vest is the perfect layer for transitioning between seasons. The straightforward construction, satisfying texture, and ribbed edges and collar combine to create a comfortable and wearable vest.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Bust - 37 (41, 45, 49)(53, 57, 61)“.
Intended to be worn with 2-4” of ease. Collar bands overlap approx 1¼”.
Length - 24½ (25, 25½, 26)(26½, 27, 27½)“.

YARN: 840 (935, 1025, 1120)(1215, 1290, 1390) yds DK weight wool or wool blend.
Shown in Kelbourne Woolens “Scout” (100% wool; 274yds/100gr) - Blue Heather #425.
4 (4, 4, 5)(5, 5, 6) skeins.

NEEDLES: U.S. size 5 (3.75mm) 32” (80cm) or longer circular needle.
Circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.

OTHER: Stitch holders, removable stitch markers, waste yarn, extra needle in same size for 3-needle bind off, tapestry needle, five ⅝“ (16mm) buttons (optional).

GAUGE: 24 sts/32 rows = 4” in stitch pattern, blocked.

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced beginner. Techniques include decreases, short rows, 3-needle bind off, and picking up stitches.

CONSTRUCTION: Knit flat from the bottom up in one piece to the armholes and then separated for the fronts and back. The ribbed trim at the armholes and collar band (with optional buttonholes) is worked at the same time as the body. The shoulders are shaped with short rows and joined with 3-needle bind off. Stitches are picked up at the V-neck for the ribbed collar.
