Pattern Introduction
The Bilberry Project bag is beginner friendly knitting project. First, you knit the bag base flat and then cast off. You’ll then pick up stitches from the base and work upwards in the round. A couple of rounds from the bag rim, you make some yarn overs (for the drawstring) and then bind off. The drawstring is made from an i-cord and then threaded through the yarn overs. As the pattern is basic, you can customise it with (for example) colour work and textured stitches and is a great way to use scrap yarn. The basic bag pattern is given on pages 4-9 with customisation suggestions in the pattern notes at the end of the pattern. This includes the colour work shown on the sample.

Suggested Yarn
Chunky yarn - 100 m per 100g such as:
Drops Snow
