This pineapple crochet pattern is so fun to make, but more importantly, is stinkin’ cute!

Bill is small (6 inches/15 cm tall with worsted weight yarn), so makes for a quick project (he can fit in your hand!). To make his textured body, a different kind of bobble stitch is used, but don’t worry, it is thoroughly explained in the pattern how to make the stitch (with photos!).

The pattern includes detailed instructions and step-by-step photos. Plus, you can contact me along the way to ask any questions.

It is an intermediate level pattern that involves starting with a magic ring, single crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, slip stitch, bobble stitch (explained in pattern), increasing, decreasing, colour changes and attaching pieces.

Materials you will need:

  • E US (3.5 mm) hook
  • worsted weight yarn approximately: brown 4.4 yds (4 m), green 31 yds (28 m), yellow 44 yds (40 m)
  • yarn/tapestry needle
  • removable stitch markers
  • two 15 mm plastic safety eyes
  • polyester fiberfill stuffing

Note: If you are making this amigurumi for someone under 3 yrs, I recommend crocheting or embroidering the eyes instead of using the plastic safety eyes.
