These warm, woolly socks are the perfect thing to wear when the days get shorter and the weather gets colder. The cable pattern is rustic enough to be worn by guys and gals alike, and the stitch pattern on the toe and heel provides a little extra cushion in the right places.

Difficulty Fair Amount of Focus Required

Finished Size 7.25 (8, 8.75, 9.25, 10)” foot circumference; 8 (8.5, 9, 9.5, 10)” foot length. Sample shown measures 9” in length.

Yarn Brown Sheep Company Wildfoote Luxury Sock (75% washable wool, 25% nylon): SY57 cappuccino, 3 skeins.

Hook Size B/1 (2.25 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions Stitch markers; yarn needle.

Gauge 24 sts and 20 rows 4” in esc.

Note Sock, toe, and heel are worked in continuous rounds from the cuff down.
