The Birch Lane Shawl begins at center back and is worked down and outward. Shaping occurs at the outer edges of right side rows, producing all-over lace, without a center spine. The finished shawlette forms an very elongated crescent with graceful wearability. The shawlette begins with the “Birch Leaves” pattern and finishes with an easy lace border.
