The beautiful shape of these little cables reminds me of the birch leaves on the trees that surround my house in the Northwoods of Minnesota.

This hat is knit with Super Bulky or Light Super Bulky/Bulky Yarn. Shown here in Malabrigo Rasta Cucumber and Sunset, Baah Mammoth Green is the Color, Baah Sequoia Purple Haze (page 5) and Malabrigo Noventa Arapey. The pattern comes in one cast on size. You can adjust the height of the hat for a more snug/slouchy fit if needed.
