This sock pattern is unisex and written in 4 sizes. The simple stitch pattern works well with variegated yarn.

Really try and get a good look at this design, at the cuff and body patterning. It’s extremely appealing, with a calm little cabled cuff made with twisted stitches (no hunting around for, or fiddling with, a cable needle). And there’s a soothing little barklike purl-stitch element every so often, so as to call a tree to mind better. And of course the colourway really does look like birches, doesn’t it? Altogether a very Zen sock, in a welcome array of sizes, to delight the naturalist.
