Bird on a Wire

Mockingbird and Lark is a pretty play on a traditional pram toy, with knitted silhoutte birds and covered beads. Assembled with shiny natural buttons and silk ribbons, it creates a simple and inexpensive toy that will be cherished for generations.

Other materials required:
Mockingbird:
Rowan Organic Cotton DK
3.75mm needles
Approx 5m spare yarn (recommended hemp)
2x20mm wooden beads
1x35mm wooden bead
Silk ribbon - 7mm wide, 1m length
1x15mm mother of pearl button
1x wire coat hanger

Lark (pram toy):
Rowan Fine Milk Cotton
2.25mm needles
8x20mm wooden beads
5x30mm wooden beads
3 different coloured lengths of silk ribbon - 7mm wide, 1m length
4x25mm mother of pearl buttons
Approx 1m spare yarn (recommended hemp)

For both:
Natural organic cotton stuffing
Tapestry needle
Scraps of cotton & linen fabrics
Embroidery thread
