Bird Roosts
Worked in either jute twine or wool, this is a pattern to create a winter shelter for the small birds in your garden. There are separate instructions for the two materials and in each case there are two designs: a house with a roof and a roosting pocket. After crocheting the roost, the wool version should be felted to make it more weatherproof. The jute version is not felted. The pattern also includes details of how to make a plastic roof to keep the rain off.
