THE INSPIRATION

The Birdie Cowl is a simple, yet stunning lace scarf that can be worn in any weather, so you will want to wear it every day! The flow of the pattern is mesmerizing…it’s so much fun to watch the eyelets appear as you work! My favorite thing about this pattern is that it’s a great one-skein project for one of those lonely singles you have laying around.

THE CONSTRUCTION

Knit flat and seamed, this pattern makes a small infinity scarf that is most comfortably worn in one long loop around the neck. However, I have also included information on adjusting the stitch count if you want to knit it in a larger (or smaller) size!

THE YARN

The hand-dyed yarn pictured is Rhapsody Fibers Modern Merino in the colorway “House Finch.” This colorway has some unexpected color combinations, but they flow so beautifully together!! I also loved how soft and smooth the yarn is, and it has beautiful drape. I highly recommend it!

  • Approximately 218 yards of a worsted weight (4) yarn

  • Yarn needle

  • Scissors
