Bird's Eye Sweater
Chunky and fuzzy, named after the world’s boldest little chili — and this sweater lives up to it. Oversized and cropped, with balloon sleeves and a slit that make a statement the moment you walk in. A clean crew neck keeps it balanced, and the chunky mohair texture makes it as soft as it looks fierce. Not a background sweater.
This pattern is made with the Dreamknit Design Tool. Knit it exactly as shown or feel free to change the yarn, the design or details to make it your own. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down with raglan increases. You begin by casting on stitches for the yoke and working back and forth with increases to shape the neckline opening. The shoulders are joined by the front neck, and the yoke is knitted in the round with raglan increases. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold, and the body is worked in the round. The neckline ribbing is worked by picking up stitches along the neckline opening. Finally, the sleeves are worked from the held stitches.
