Birmingham is a fingering weight scarf knitted in the round as a tube and grafted together at each end to form an infinity loop. The outlined honeycomb pattern is broken up by different slipped stitch patterns that create texture and contrast. It’s colorful, fun to knit and much easier than it looks. The scarf pictured uses a total of six colors, although, four colors would work as well. One main color that’s the background for the honeycomb pattern, one outline color that frames four different interior contrast honeycomb colors. The contrast colors are repeated in different pattern sections throughout the body of the scarf.
