Birnam Socks

The oak tree once formed a third of all tree cover in Britain. A famous oak tree in Scotland is the Birnam Oak. The Birnam Oak is an iconic tree that lives on the outskirts of the Perthshire village and celebrated in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. It’s long branches spread out from its strong 5.5m circumference trunk, these giants can live for 800 years..

Yarn Used

I used Viking of Norway Alpaca Storm, which consists of 40% wool, 40% alpaca and 20% nylon. This is a DK weight yarn, however you can easily hold two strands of 4-ply together to achieve DK weight!

I used 2 x 50g MC for the medium size socks and had left overs.
for CC’s around 10g of each should be more than enough. Perfect for using up scraps!
