The Birthday Shawl is a simple bias triangle with a gently curving edge. It knits up quickly and uses only two skeins of yarn making it the perfect birthday gift for your most knitworthy friend.

Needles: US Size 6 (4mm) needles a 24” cable.
Suggested Yarn:
-One skein of Fern (85/15% Merino/Nylon fingering, 100g, 437yd)
-One skein of Gossamer (70/30% Fine Kid Mohair/Silk lace, 50g, 460yd)
-Example knit in the colorway Sea.
Gauge: 24 ST x 48 rows (24 garter ridges)= 4” x 4” in garter.
Gauge is important to ensure adequate yardage. If you’re a loose knitter, you may want to consider going down a needle size.
Finished Measurements: 90” wide x 20” deep
