One of the first stones to be mined as a gem, turquoise is believed to have protective powers, as well as the ability to cheer up its wearer. I named this design for the great turquoise mine in Bisbee, Arizona, which produces some of the finest quality blue stones in the United States. The scarf features a row of turquoise nuggets down the center, flanked by the mountains where the stone is found. What could be more cheerful than a cozy turquoise scarf to wrap around your neck on a chilly, grey winter day?
