When everything feels overwhelming and too much to handle, help is the best thing one can receive in that moment. I’ve been learning to be kind to myself when it comes to asking for help, reflecting on the lessons I learned at home—how we always helped one another, and how I always received help when I asked. I was taught things hands-on, with a supportive adult always nearby, ready to help in every possible way. Helping someone is a form of care, and even as an adult, we all need someone’s help from time to time.

These stitches carry with them the spirit of giving and the joy of receiving help. The joy of knowing that it’s okay to ask for help and that help will come. The shawl is a traditional triangular shape with a playful lace pattern.

B: Depth

By adjusting needle size and with different yarn you will get different size alterations.

GAUGE
Approx. 20 sts × 33 rows = 4 × 4″ / 10 × 10 cm in Lace st pattern (after blocking).
The exact gauge is not crucial in this pattern. However, if you have different gauge, this will affect the yardage. Note: This shawl was made with exact yardages stated below. If you have different gauge, be sure that the yarn does not run off.

Hedgehog Fibres Oh So Fine Merino (100% Merino 3.5 oz / 100 g / 465 yds / 425 m). You need 3 colors, sample colors:

Color A: Clay, you need 66 g or 307 yds / 281 m of light fingering-weight yarn.

Color B: Stone, you need 13 g or 61 yds / 56 m of light fingering-weight yarn.

Color C: Pollen, you need 71 g or 330 yds / 302 m of light fingering-weight yarn.

Needles
US 4 / 3.5 mm (32–48″ / 80–120 cm) circular needle.

Notions
Stitch markers (2), tapestry needle.
