Bjørgvotter er et par selbuvotter som jeg har oppkalt etter min kjære, avdøde bestemor Bjørg. Det var hun som lærte meg å strikke, og har gjennom hele oppveksten vist meg hvor mye vakkert som kan trylles frem med pinner og garn. Det føles helt rett å dedikere disse vottene til bestemor, og jeg håper du tar godt vare på oppskriften og vottene du strikker.

Bjørg mittens are a pair of selbu mittens that I´ve named after my beloved late grandmother, Bjørg. She was the one who taught me to knit, and who has throughout my entire upbringing shown me how many beautiful things can be created with knitting needles and yarn. It feels right to dedicate these mittens to my grandmother, and I hope you take good care of the pattern and the mittens you knit. No matter if you will be knitting selbu mittens for the first time, or if you´ve done it many times before, I hope that you have fun with the knitting and enjoy the colorwork that emerges. Remember that the yarn and needle sizes are only recommendations; for an optimal finished
product, it´s essential that you use the needles that give you the correct gauge in the yarn you
have chosen. If you knit loosely, you might have to go down a needle size, and the opposite if
you knit tightly. A good tip is to always hold the contrast color furthest in on your finger when you knit with two strands, so that the pattern color is dominant and “pops” out!
