The inspiration for this easy double thick pot holder was some gorgeous cotton yarn that I dyed BLUE using black beans! Who knew?! Of course these hot pads will work up great using any cotton yarn, but I think dyeing the yarn yourself adds something extra special to the creative process.

This pot holder is made using only one stitch (FPsc - photo tutorial included) and is worked in the round to form a tube, then seamed at the top and bottom to make a square. Easy! Instructions are included for adding a yarn hanging loop or a wooden ring for a more modern twist. Finished size is 7” x 7”.

This download includes a written pattern and helpful pictures (pictures are included at the end of the document so you can choose to easily omit those pages when printing).
