Black Cockatoo Mini-C2C Blanket
Skill Level: Beginner
Materials:
Yarn 100% acrylic, 8ply
Black, cream, light brown, dark brown, green, blue, purple, orange, yellow, light grey, dark grey.
Crochet hook 4.5mm
Wool needle
Scissors
Finished Measurements:
Dependant on hook size, yarn type/ply, tension and C2C (dc) vs mini-C2C (hdc). I used a mini-C2C (hdc) stitch, 8ply acrylic yarn and tight tension, and my blanket was approximately Cot sized (100cm x 120cm).
Terms: US terms

Ø – zero (to reduce confusion with the letter ‘O’ for orange)
B – black ‘square’
C – cream ‘square’
LX – light brown ‘square’
DX – dark brown ‘square’
G – green ‘square’
Z – blue ‘square’
P – purple ‘square’

This pattern is worked as a mini-C2C, which is the same as C2C except it uses hdc stitches in place of the dc stitches to make a smaller ‘square’. This pattern includes basic C2C stitch instructions at the end, using dc stitches. Should you wish to use a mini-C2C stitch, use hdc stitches in place of dc stitches, but no other changes need to be made.
There is an excel graph included; the numbers on the graph correlate to the row number of the written pattern on the diagonal and as per direction arrow in the box next to the number, starting from the bottom right hand corner.
The graph itself can be used for sc or dc blankets/graphgans, using a back and forth reading of the horizontal rows; however, the written pattern is designed for C2C and as such will not translate.
