This lovely top down crescent shawl starts with a few stitches and gently grows stockinette with occasional rows of unique mosaic “pearl” stitches to keep it fun and interesting. It ends with a lovely lace hem. Also, the top edge is finished off with a clean edge as well. (No garter edge with huge yarn-overs)

Black Pearls works up quickly on size US 7/4.5mm needles with any 100g hank of fingering yarn (437yds/400m) and some scrap yarn for the pearls and lace.

The crescent shape is a favorite because it’s so easy to wear and this light and drape-y accessory is sure to be a favorite.

And what makes it even better is that the holidays are right around the corner and this makes an incredible gift knit.
