The Blackstone Vest is a simple, seamless vest, knit flat from the top down on a circular needle. The raglan style sleeves are held on a stitch holder and completed after finishing the body of the vest. The vest features a wrapped front with a single button and buttonhole, and stripes which are worked between the 3-stitch contrast edging which is featured around the neck, down the front on either side, and across the hemline (this is where the Intarsia comes into play). The chunky yarn lends itself well to the relaxed fit of this vest, but instructions for a modicum of waist shaping is available by selecting the option of a ribbed belt in the back and/or waist shaping on the sides. If knit in a single color, the entire vest could be completed with one skein of Cascade Ecowool.
