A simple tea cosy pattern that can be a blank canvas for your own decorating imagination to create a unique tea cosy. Knit in stripes; add some colourwork; sew on embellishments; embroidery; knit or crochet flowers etc.

The cosy is knit flat in two parts and sewn together. An optional liner can be added for a thermally efficient cosy.

Designed to fit an approximately 45 cm circumference teapot, the finished cosy will be about 17 cm high, although this can be adjusted to suit a taller or shorter teapot.
