The Bleecker Hat is a worsted weight hat worked from the bottom up featuring an all over ribbed texture worked up on a US size 7 / 4.5 mm 16” circular needle.

From the brim to the decreases, the entire hat is knit in 2x2 ribbed texture. When you reach the crown decreases, you will need either DPNs or a long circular needle in US size 7 / 4.5 mm to knit the crown decreases.


Sizes: Small (medium, large)

Finished Measurements:

  • S: 9” tall x 17” circumference (will fit up to a 22” head, height of hat is measured with brim folded)
  • M: 9.5” tall x 18.5” circumference (will fit up to a 23” head, height of hat is measured with brim folded)
  • L: 10” tall x 19” circumference (will fit up to a 24” head, height of hat is measured with brim folded)

Yarn: 170 (190, 210) yards of KnitPicks Swish Worsted in the Black colorway

Needles: US 7 / 4.5 mm 16” circular needle, AND either DPNs or long circular (for magic loop method) for decreases

Gauge: 24 sts x 32 rounds = 4” in 2x2 ribbing
