“Blessed by the Pope” Shawl

This is a quick knit, and a simple first shawl that is beautiful and functional. It can be made with any sport weight sock yarn you have available, or indeed any weight sock yarn you like. It can be striped using left over sock yarns, or you could try it in a thicker yarn for a heavier shawl. Let your imagination run wild, and enjoy. I used one skein of Malabrigo Sock yarn. To customize your shawl’s size use a greater yardage of yarn. You will also need a size 5, 36-40” circular needle, a 3.0mm crochet hook, and a tapestry needle, or whatever size needle is appropriate for your yarn. Gauge is not strictly important.
