This FULL skirt is meant for adults. It is made to your measurements, so you can make this pattern for any size. This pattern has accommodations for hips that the child size pattern does not include.

• All directions are written in US Crochet Terms.
• Pattern is written so that you can fit it precisely to any waist size. Be sure to do frequent “fit checks” by trying the skirt on to ensure it will fit. Do not wait until the end to check fit.
• Ch 3 at beginning of rows or rounds counts as a dc.
• Waistband should have 1-2” of negative ease. That means you want to stretch it 1-2” to fit around your waist.
• Waistband is created sideways in rows. Then you add buttonholes. The first 5 rows of the body of the skirt are created in rows, then join to crochet the rest of the skirt in rounds. This will enable you to pull the skirt up and over hips without having to make the waist larger to accommodate hip size. The skirt body increases at intervals.
• The skirt directions are written until approximately 40” of length. Stop crocheting skirt rounds and move to the bottom
trim whenever your desired length has been reached.
• This pattern is written with women who have full figures in mind. However, due to the “crochet-to-measurement” style of the pattern, it can be made to fit children, teens and/or adults in any size. Just follow the instructions for checking fit over hips and try on frequently while you are making it to ensure a good fit.
• Blocking will not only open up the shell stitches, but also add an inch or more to the length of your skirt as well as give it the lovely scalloped edge at the bottom. It will provide a crisp and finished look. Don’t skip blocking!
