The Blissful Ballerina dress is an adorable dress for a little ballerina, and includes instructions to adapt the pattern to make a matching dress for a teddy or doll. The dress is very simply constructed, making it an acheivable project for even beginner crocheters (please note, the instructions do not include how to make the basic stitches).

The dress is crocheted in the round, resulting in no seams to sew or stitch together. Only three stitches are used to create the entire dress: treble st, chain and slip stitch. Don’t let the smaller hook size and thinner yarn put you off: thanks to the simple lace stitch, the dress works up quite quickly.

The pattern includes:

  • detailed instructions including instructional photos and ‘handy hints’ for extra support. These make the pattern suitable for beginners who already know how to create treble, chain and slip stitch (the pattern does not include instructions for creating these stitches)
  • separate instructions for each size, as well as an instruction set compiling all sizes
  • a size chart instructions to create a tension/guage swatch
  • a stitch abbreviations chart
