The pattern for these mitts is suitable for magic loop or DPNs and suits a confident beginner or a more experienced knitter looking for a quick, easy project. The textured stitch repeat of blocks and chains is easy to memorise and looks great in both hand-dyed, handspun, and solid colour yarns.

Pattern includes sizing to suit: teen/adult small (15.5-16.5 cm or 6 to 6.5 inches), adult medium (approx. 17.5-19 cm or 7-7.5 inches) and adult large (approx. 20.5-21.5 cm or 8-8.5 inches). Options are given for personalising the fit. The instructions for size S are given first, with the instructions for size M and L in brackets. The mitts as written are a snug fit with negative ease. You can go up a needle size if you want a more relaxed fit.
The pattern also contains a table to keep track of the pattern rounds and gusset increases as you work.

Gauge: 28 st to 10cm (4 inches) in the round, in pattern, unblocked. Difference in gauge will affect size of mitts and yarn usage. If you would like the mitts to have a more relaxed fit, use needles one size larger.

Supplies:
Approx 130 – 170 m (140 - 185 yards) dk weight yarn that knits to gauge.
US 4 (3.5mm) needles for ribbing and US 5 (3.75mm) needles for the hand or appropriate needles to get the desired gauge.
