I named this chunky beanie after a beautiful mountain in northern Germany. The alpine stitch pattern looks like little mountain peaks and makes a gorgeous texture.

Supplies Needed
-100-110 of any super bulky weight (size 6) yarn. My favs are LBWET&Q, LB Hometown USA, and Yarn Bee True Colors
-Size 10.0 mm hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
-Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure, stitch markers
-Embellishments of choice

Special Terminology
Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc) - The dc st is made in the same fashion, but where you insert your hook will be different. In this particular pattern, you will be inserting your hook from front to back to front around the dc post 2 rounds below the round you are on. You will follow the normal steps to make your dc as usual.
