Blomster Socks
Summary
The Blomster socks are knit from the cuff down and feature two-stranded colourwork, stockinette and a heel flap & gusset. Instructions are written for DPNs but you could knit them using magic loop or mini circulars.
I’ve written the pattern with the adventurous beginner in mind, which means that you’ll be given tips and tricks along the way – to hopefully make you feel confident and aided in your knitting.
If you’re a seasoned sock knitter however, I’ve taken extra care not to make the additional information and instructions distracting, wishing you a pleasant knitting experience ! ☺
This Knitting Pattern is written in English and comes as a digital download. You’ll recieve 4 files in PDF format :
A digital version, intended for viewing on a sceen (computer, iPad, phone, etc.) This file comes in colour, has a pleasant layout and many photos. You can preview what it looks like by taking a peek at the photos here in the listing. The digital version has 15 pages.
A print version, intended for easy printing at home. This file comes in greyscale, has a minimal layout and no photos - to save on printer ink ! To save on paper, the layout in this version is slightly different and it has 12 pages. However, no text or information has been removed - only photos. The colourwork charts have been adapted with symbols to make them readable in greyscale.
and 4.) Print versions of the Colourwork Charts: 1 in colour, 1 in greyscale. If you like making notes or crossing out finished rows/rounds in your charts, but don’t want to print out the entire pattern - this is for you!

Schematic & Measurements (see images)
Measurements
All indicated measurements have been taken on the finished sock when laying flat. A worn sock varies in its measurements depending on the shape and size of your foot and leg (stretching the fabric differently).
Keep in mind that these measurements are not indicating a circumference but a flat measurement on a sock that’s not being stretched by a 3 dimensional foot but a flat sock blocker. The numbers for the width is therefore only the width of half the sock.
The measurements in width are impacted by your stitch gauge (how many sts. per cm) whereas the length is impacted by your row/round gauge (how many rws/rnds per cm). This means that you can easily change the length by knitting more or fewer rows/rounds.
Please see schematic (in images) S (M)
Leg width: 11 (13) cm
Leg length (with cuff): 14 cm
Leg length (no cuff): 11 cm
