Bloodletting is a triangular shawlette featuring blood drop lace, fishnet mesh, and an easy garter edge for stability. The pattern is charted. While thematically it was done for Halloween, there is year round appeal. The pattern would be best for intermediate knitters who have a grasp of chart reading.
With this shawl gauge is not critical if you are a loose knitter go down a size and if you’re a naturally tight knitter go up a size. The shawl does not take up a full skein of yarn, and will block out to approx. 41 inches across and 21 inches deep.
