Blooming Kid Sweater
Blooming Kid Sweater is a colourful top-down raglan sweater for children, designed to make use of leftover yarn and small yarn treasures.
The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. The neckband and yoke are worked in the round, with raglan increases and a playful flower pattern. After the yoke is complete, the work is divided for body and sleeves, which are then worked separately in the round.
This pattern is perfect for using scrap yarn. Combine soft pastels, bright colours, wool, merino, alpaca, mohair or other yarns that give the correct gauge. You only need small amounts of yarn for the flower colours, making each sweater unique.
There are no fixed colour codes — use what you have and create your own blooming expression.
