Finished size of the blanket is 36 inc x 36 inc / 90 cm x 90 cm
Gauge: 4’ x 4’ - 12 sts, 8 rows
Stitch used for gauge – double crochet
Finished measurement of solid granny square- 5,5 inches / 14 cm
Finished measurements of textured square- 11inches / 28 cm
IMPORTANT DETAILS :
The gauge is not important but the tension is important. First make 1 solid square and 1 big square. measure them.
Small granny must be 1/4 of the big square.
The blanket is made with 2 different size of squares. For the blanket you need to make 12 solid granny squares and 6 textured granny squares.

  1. It is better to sew the flowers and butterflies on the squares before you join the blanket. It will be easier, but if you will stick them with hot glue gun it won’t be a problem to do it after joining.
  2. If you would like to make bigger blanket just add 1 more row or column of squares to your blanket. In the blanket I used different colors and order for each flower and butterfly. To make it more easier for you I used letters such as a, b, c to indicate the color. You can find the colors for each flower and butterfly in the chart bellow:
