This versatile pattern can be used in many different ways. The squares can be turned into anything you’d use crochet granny squares for (blankets, cushion covers etc.) or you can make four, join them and then do the “Additional Blanket Rounds”.

If you use chunky yarn and do these additional rounds you will have a beautiful small blanket (perfect for babies/toddlers or as a throw or lap blanket) measuring approximately 80-100cm on each side depending on your tension.

The pattern is full of texture and has been designed with variegated yarn (paired with a single coloured-yarn) in mind, as those yarns are so fun to use (and shop for!)

Only a chunky version of this pattern has been tested, but there is no reason it wouldn’t work with different weights of yarn and their corresponding hook sizes.
