DESCRIPTION

The Blouson Cardigan has a timeless, minimalist aesthetic with a relaxed silhouette. The ribbed V-neckline, as well as the cuffs and hem, give it a classic structure, while carefully placed lines add refined details.
The cardigan begins with the right front section with a provisional cast-on; I recommend Judy’s Magic Cast On. You shape the neckline and then work the left front section in the same way, until you reach the back. Later, the stitches that are on hold from the cast on are picked up and incorporated, and you continue working in stockinette stitch until you finish with a 1×1 ribbed hem. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armholes. The front pocket as well as the button band are worked in 1×1 ribbing.
The pattern contains two options to work the back part of the Blouson Cardigan. You can choose between a plain back part or one with a statement line of purl stitches along the back down to the bottom ribbing.
