Blowing Wheat Valance
The calm blowing wheat design of this filet crochet valance has scallops in the center and cascades down on each side for added dimension. Both a short and long version are included. It is worked from the top down and includes a repeat in the pattern to increase the width of the valance to fit your window. The rod pocket is built into the design to fit a 5/8” diameter curtain rod.
This pattern includes both row-by-row written instructions as well as a design chart for reference.
The filet crochet technique is akin to crocheting a piece of graph paper with some of the square grids filled in and some left open (or blank) to create an overall design. If you’d like to learn filet crochet, check out my YouTube tutorial: Filet Crochet: Learning the Stitches & a Few Extras!
