This doily is inspired by classic blue-and-white china and porcelain. I have always loved the look of blue and white for house wares and china, and they are enduringly popular worldwide!

This doily works up remarkably quickly, due in part to the middle section of openwork lace. The lace effect on the “rim” of the doily is created with alternating front- and back-post hdcs, with rows of filet crochet between. The pattern also includes dc-clusters and ch-3 picots.

Total yardage is 350 yds: 180 yds white, 100 yds light blue, 70 yds navy.
