This classic stockinette beanie features a ribbed brim and animal-style ears. They are shaped using Twin Short Rows and finished with a 3-needle bind-off.

Note on Gauge & Gauge Swatch
This pattern is structured by gauge. It is highly recommended to knit a swatch in Stockinette stitch, wash, and block it to accurately measure your gauge and choose the correct version of the pattern for your project.
Sizes (Head Circumference)
Baby (3-6 m): 14-16” (35-40) cm
Toddler (1-3 years): 18-20” (42-47 cm)
Child/Adult S: 19-21” (48-53 cm)
Adult M: 22-23” (56-58 cm)
Adult L: 23-24” (58-61 cm)

Materials
Knitting Needles: Circular (16”/40 cm) and Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) in the size needed to obtain gauge (use smaller needles for ribbing).
Note on Needles for Baby Sizes: For the smallest sizes, the hat’s circumference may be too small to comfortably work on a 16”/40 cm circular needle. We recommend using Double-Pointed Needles (DPNs), a short circular needle (e.g., 9–12”/23–30 cm), or the Magic Loop method from the beginning.
Notions: Removable stitch markers (one unique for BOR), Scissors, Measuring Tape, Hook (optional)
