Blue hues, a simple but stylish shawl to knit with just a few surprises to keep you happily occupied. Slightly asymmetrical in shape, if I had to pick a shape, it’s definitely a rectangle. :smiley:

Knitted in garter and stockinette stitches either with the Lofty skeins as shown or using up your yarn stash in varying colors and textures even yarn weights, makes this a great stash buster.

Plus let’s face it, a tassel always adds to the fun!
Blocked size: 52” long and 21” tall.

Yarn
2 skeins of Lofty, 280 yards of rayon, cotton, linen and bamboo in 7 color and texture changes.

Alternatively use lace, fingering, sport weights in 7 color and texture changes of 40 yards each, times two. 560 yards are used in total.

Notions
US size 10 (6 mm) circular needle 40” (102 cm) in length.
Scrap yarn or use the cords of your interchangeable needles to place stitches in several parts on hold.
Darning needle for finishing.
Tassel maker or use your gauge tool 4” in length to create your tassel. (See photo collage on page 3 of pattern)

Gauge
With sport weight yarn 12 sts and 24 rows in 4” of Garter stitch to start with.
Lace weight 16 sts and 24 rows in 4”.

Techniques used
Knitting, purling, changing colors, placing stitches on hold and picking them back up again, increasing, binding off, weaving in ends and creating a tassel.
