This is a chunky weight sweater, knit in the round, from the neck down.

The recommended yarn is very warm because it’s 100% wool. I picked this yarn for the indigo colour match.

You don’t need a full ball of gold yarn for the monogram, But it’s best to use 100% wool for grip and to help the letter lie flat.

You will need circular AND double point needles in both 7mm and 5.5 mm sizes.

The pattern is for an oversized, one-size-fits all fit, based on a men’s large. If you are making this for a person with a very small frame, you can use smaller needles, or find a close colour match in a worsted weight yarn.
