This summer my family took a road trip to Yellowstone to celebrate my oldest’s high school graduation and our persistence through the pandemic. The color of Blue Star Spring especially startled me, and I couldn’t stop thinking about the ball of KnitPicks Stroll Gradient in Sea You Later I had at home. So I thought I’d try to knit a shawl as an homage to this Spring. This is an asymmetrical shawl knit in the round in garter stitch with a wrap & turn to create the bumps and an eyelet lace edging to look like the edges of the Spring.

Yarn: Fingering Stroll Gradient in Sea You Later (A). One ball. Additional white yarn in Fingering. I used Fingering Stroll Gradient in Ice Sculpture (B).
