This is a knitted Blue Tit, that is designed to cover a chocolate Creme Egg. Once the chocolate is all gone, the Blue Tit can be used as a decorative item.

The cover measures approx. 6cms.

The pattern includes instructions on how to make the bird with a list of abbreviations & a template for the bobbins. The pattern is written in English & can be printed onto 1 piece of paper (front & back).

All pieces are knitted flat on a pair of straight 3mm knitting needles. The pattern is worked using stocking stitch.

The pattern uses DK yarn (double knitting or light worsted weight); very small amounts - less than 25g in each colour. 2 small black beads are needed for the eyes.
