My grandfather, Cecil, had an enormous garden in his
backyard. He grew all kinds of fruits, vegetables, and
flowers. My grandfather was an amazing gardener.
When my brothers and I were little we would help him
pick blueberries. The bushes were taller than I was and
covered in nets to keep the birds from eating all of the
fruit. My brother and I would fill our buckets then run
back to the house to eat them. Of course, we ate as we
picked too. My grandfather would make us all kinds of
delicious treats with the blueberries he grew, including
pancakes and jam. Yum!Whenever I see or eat the
fruits my grandfather grew in his garden, I think of him
and the wonderful times we had together. This stitch
pattern looks like a blueberry pie with a lattice crust. So,
I named these socks after my grandfather.

This is a top-down heel flap style sock with lacework.
