Teddy has the blues, but he can keep warm and snuggly in this Blueberry Sweater.

I made this sweater for my Berry Bear to wear, but you could knit one for your favourite toy.

Please note, this is a free knitting pattern for the sweater only. The teddy bear pattern is not included but can be purchased separately: Berry Bear.

ABOUT THE PATTERN: The pattern has row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the sweater plus photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 4 pages and written in English.

TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles. You need to know how to knit, purl, increase and decrease, and a little seaming.

  • A pair of straight 4mm knitting needles (US 6)
  • One button
  • DK yarn (double knitting or light worsted weight)
