Texas is my home away from home. In one state you can go from the sharp, high desert tableaus to shallow, muggy bayous and on to sunny beaches. From fields upon fields of grain country (with the occasional tornado), down to the hot South that we from the northern states associate with Texas. They do have all four seasons, and spring is one of the prettiest. The rivers are bubbling bright from the winter snows further north, the sun is warmer, and miles upon miles of these small, delightful, quite blue flowers pop up everywhere! It’s like the sky flipped upside down and let us all walk in it’s glory for a bit. These delicate but cheery blossoms known as Bluebonnets inspired this collection, with it’s true lace flowers and it’s openwork leaf fronds. I love being able to take a piece of my heart home with me as I go.
