Like wavelengths of light decreasing in frequency in a spectrum blueshift, the striped sections in this cowl decrease in width as you knit. Wear it long or looped, narrow or wide, with lace or without; combine two or more cowls for a wardrobe statement that says “casual, but classy”, or 2 yarn colors for even more fun. The rolled edge mimics the relaxed look of stretchy jersey fabric, and the lightweight wool is perfect for even warm-weather-wear.

One hank of Prairie Short Skeins will make 2 narrow cowls or one wide cowl. Two hanks can make 2 narrow (one in each color) and one wide (striped, with both colors) cowl!

Thanks to the lovely Laura Zander for modeling!
