Designed to showcase variegated, hand-dyed yarn, a variety of easy stitch styles in this cowl provide knitting interest and texture at the same time.

The pattern utilises linen stitch, purl, stocking stitch and garter stitch to create a textural cowl with loads of drape and style!

The pattern is for a long cowl, designed to be twisted around the neck in double-thickness. There is nothing to stop you from halving the stitches (199 instead of 399) and making this a single loop!

Final measurements of your cowl (as written in the pattern) should be approx 28cm (11”) high and 140cm (55”) around.

In addition to the 100cm (40”) circular needle, all you need is a stitch marker to mark the beginning of your row.

This pattern uses one 200g hank (with left over) from Anna Gratton Little Wool Co. I estimate total yardage is about 600 yds. Substitute yarns would do well to contain a bit of silk, mohair or even cotton, to create the same quality of drape as this cowl.

Happy knitting!
