Boardwalk Stroll poncho
Fancy a stroll down a boardwalk? Check out this little MOVIE about the design
Want something you can throw over anything and have instant layering without the fuss? Then this great little poncho is for you!
Inspired by the many boardwalks I have strolled along, in summer and winter, whilst I lived in the United States. The simple repetitive lines of the wooden planks heading off at various angles, have always given me a sense of calmness and ease.
It is knit from the top down seamlessly in the round. It begins with an eyelet mesh cowl that drapes over the top of the poncho. A wide twisted rib, echoing the wide wooden boardwalk planks, then graduates out from the center on the front and back of the poncho. The poncho ends with a contrast colour mesh edging symbolising the sea on a stormy day giving you a seascape poncho - the calm with a bit of storm!
