This is a pattern of a cute and colorful baby blanket. Tiny accents, such bright bobbles, make the blanket so sweet and sunny that every time you want to wrap your little one in this blanket. Universal “popcorn” design is great for both boys and girls and will decorate any nursery, just choose the colors you like more.

This project is quite easy to make even for beginners, because you first knit a blanket, and all the bobbles are made separately (with knitting needles) and added to the finished canvas later.

The baby blanket knitting pattern includes 2 types of directions: the short instruction and full instruction with “row by row” explanations and full chart of the pattern. You need to be able to: cast on, bind off, knit, purl and weave in ends. Other features are shown in my help video “How to make bobbles separately and attach them to the blanket”.

Approx size: 6078 cm (24” 31” in) if you use DK yarn\ needles 4 mm (6 US, 8 UK). But any baby yarn will work. This only affects finished size.

You will need:

1. 2,5 balls of Baby yarn 50 % wool \ 50 % acrylic (DK) 220 m (240 yd) |100 g (3,53 Oz) and yarn leftovers in 3 different colors for bobbles.
2. Circular needles 4 mm (6 US, 8 UK). I recommend 80 cm (31,5 in) long knitting needles to hold a large number of stitches.
3. Crochet hook (optionally)
4. Tapestry needle
5. Stitch markers (optionally)

Gauge/ Tension in stockinette stitch:
10 cm (4” in )= 20 sts and 30 rows
